7th and 8th grade Chromebooks will need to be turned-in prior to students' last day of school. 9th grade students will keep their Chromebooks to use at the high school for the 26-27 school year.

CHROMEBOOK COLLECTION

• Wednesday, June 3 in Tiger Time @ 8:00am

• 7th & 8th graders: Turn-in chargers, cases and CB and will make note of any visible damage to CBs.

• 9th grade keeps Chromebooks for the summer - CBs will be looked over. If there is excessive damage or missing items (broken screen, no charger, etc.), parents will be informed via email and the IT department will add the appropriate repair/replacement fees in PowerSchool.

LIBRARY MATERIALS

The last day to check-out materials from the library will be Friday, May 15.  All materials will be due back to the library by Friday, May 22.

LUNCH BALANCES

As a reminder, ALL students' lunch balances must be paid off, no student is able to go into summer break with a negative balance.  If your student has a negative balance, you can call our bookkeeper from 7:30am-2:45pm daily to pay over the phone with a credit card, send cash or check with your student to turn into the bookkeeper or pay online via RevTrac.

LOST AND FOUND

Unclaimed lost and found items will be donated to Goodwill on Thursday, June 4.  If your student is missing an article of clothing, water bottle, shoe(s), etc, please have them check the lost and found before the last day of school.

PEET HEALTH OFFICE

Please  remember to pick up your student's medication in the health office by the last day of school. Health office hours are 7:45am - 2:45pm Monday through Friday. If you need other arrangements please let us know. If medications are not picked up, they will be destroyed. Please call the health office with any questions, 319-553-2774

SAFETY WHILE ON SCOOTERS/E-BIKES:

As we head into summer, we want to ensure our students stay safe while riding their e-bikes and scooters. Please review these essential safety reminders with your child to keep them and others protected on the road.

Safety First: Helmets and Gear

• Always wear a properly fitted helmet; it is the most effective way to prevent serious injury.

• Wear bright or reflective clothing to stay visible to drivers, especially during evening hours.

• Keep both hands on the handlebars and avoid using phones or headphones while riding.

Rules of the Road

• Obey all traffic signs and signals just like a car would.

• Ride in the same direction as traffic and use designated bike lanes whenever possible.

• Yield to pedestrians on sidewalks and crosswalks; give a verbal warning before passing.

E-Bike Specifics

• Maintain a safe speed, especially in crowded areas or near intersections.

• Ensure your battery is charged and the brakes are responsive before leaving home.

• Remember that e-bikes are faster and heavier than standard bikes, requiring more time to stop.

MOVING NEXT SCHOOL YEAR?

Will your student be moving over the summer to a new school/school district? Please contact our Peet Counseling office at (319)553-2765 or email ann.pierschbacher@cfschools.org.  New schools can request records by faxing Peet at (319)266-8839.

REGISTRATION FOR 26-27 SCHOOL YEAR

The district will be utilizing online registration again for the 26-27 school year. Parents/guardians will receive an email regarding online registration early July.  Returning students may access online registration through your PowerSchool Parent Portal, new students to the district will still need to register with our district Registrar at the Administration Building. SUMMER OFFICE HOURS

The Peet office will be open from June 4-13 from 7:30-3:30pm. The office will reopen on July 27 from 7:30-3:30 p.m.

SUMMER READING 

We’re excited to offer a Book BINGO option for students this summer! This is a fun and flexible way to keep reading going. Students can complete different reading challenges on their BINGO board and work toward prizes. You can find a copy of the challenge by clicking here.

The library will also be open on select days throughout the summer for students to stop in, check out books, and stay on track with their BINGO boards. Our open dates and times are:
