Thank You For Supporting The Northeast Iowa Food Bank!

Our students, families and staff are amazing! Led by our Student Lighthouse Team, we were able to make a large donation to the the Northeast Iowa Food Bank this morning! We donated 3,628 food items (1,260 actual food items and $592 in cash donations)! We donated 1,042 pounds of food! We are very proud of both our students as well as the student leaders who helped organize this amazing donation! Pack the Bus a Success!

Friday, October 27 marked the end of our Pack the Bus donation drive for 2017.  The donations of paper and cleaning products were for the Hope Lodge in Iowa City, a place that provides support for cancer patients and their caregivers.We had a very successful drive this year!  Cedar Heights collected 642 items for the Hope Lodge.6th grade led the charge in bringing in 387 items.Mrs. Graf's 6th grade class brought in the most items, with 196.  They have won a fun incentive with Mr. Strassbur [...]

The Birthday Blessings Have Been Delivered To Kaden's Closet!

Our Birthday Blessings project from Mrs. Becker's 5th grade class made an important delivery to Kaden's Closet in Waterloo this week! Ms. Sullivan's Third Grade Class Supports The Des Moines Police Department

Ms. Sullivans's third grade class made posters for the Des Moines police force to support them during this tragic time.   Ms. Sullivan has a friend on the Des Moines Police force who works the night shift.   She was relived to get a text from him saying that he was ok. The class decided to do a service project for him and his colleagues.  They sent the photo of the class with the posters to him and he was very thankful.

A Visit To Lincoln 50 Years Later...

Ann Shepperd taught 6th grade at Lincoln Elementary as part of an exchange program during the 1966-1967 school year. From England, she has visited Cedar Falls a handful of times and has always wanted to return to Lincoln. Today, she returned for a tour! We are proud to share that two Lincoln students won first place for their grade level in the annual fire safety poster contest!
