Technology in the Classroom

Cedar Falls Community School District strives to prepare students for an ever-changing world that sees technological advancements happening at a rapid rate and is committed to preparing students for whatever path they choose after high school. Our district continues to work toward making access to technology a non-factor in our students’ education. All students have access to a device. iPads are available for grades PreK-2. Chromebooks are at a 1:1 student ratio in grades 3-12. Students in grades 7-12 and any student virtually attending school can bring their devices home after agreeing and signing the Responsible Use Procedures (RUP) at their building. For more information and expectation on use and care, please refer to the information within the Technology Handbook for Parents and Students. To help with access outside of school, this map of free WiFi hotspots in Cedar Falls could be useful.
