Strub Named Southdale Principal Beginning with 18-19 School Year

Cedar Falls Schools’ Superintendent Dr. Andy Pattee is pleased to announce Jason Strub will become the Principal at Southdale Elementary beginning with the 2018-2019 school year.
“I'm excited for the opportunity to lead a building that already has amazing teachers and staff as well as top notch students. I also look forward to continue building relationships with parents and the community to create a fun and safe learning environment for all our students,” Mr. Strub said.
Mr. Strub has been the Associate Principal at Southdale Elementary this past year; prior to that he was Elementary Principal at Gladbrook-Reinbeck Elementary. He also served as K-12 Dean of Students and Director of Dropout Prevention for the Gladbrook-Reinbeck School District and was a teacher and Athletic Director for the Janesville Consolidated School District.
Mr. Strub earned his Masters of Arts in Education from the University of Northern Iowa as well as his Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa.
Mr. Strub lives in Cedar Falls, with his wife Katie and children Carver who is in first grade and Kyan who is a preschooler.
