End of Year Info

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL:

The last day of school is Thursday, June 1. You will be able to view Semester 2 grades on Friday, June 2 at 12:00pm on your Parent PowerSchool Portal. Grade reports will not be mailed home; you will receive an email with your students' final grade report for the 2022-23 school year.

On the last day of school, we will run the following schedule. Students will have fun activities that teachers will provide each class period. If students have make-up work, they will complete work with their teacher during class.

If your student will not be attending the last day(s) of school, please contact the Peet Attendance Office at (319)553-2771 or email: sydney.schoentag@cfschools.org.

7th and 8th grade Chromebooks will need to be turned-in prior to students' last day of school. 9th grade students will keep their Chromebooks to use at the high school for the 23-24 school year.

CHROMEBOOK COLLECTION

• Thursday, June 1 in Tiger Time @ 8:00am

• 7th & 8th graders: Turn-in chargers, cases and CB and will make note of any visible damage to CBs.

• 9th grade keeps Chromebooks for the summer - CBs will be looked over. If there is excessive damage or missing items (broken screen, no charger, etc.), parents will be informed via email and the IT department will add the appropriate repair/replacement fees in PowerSchool.

LIBRARY MATERIALS

The last day to check-out materials from the library will be Thursday, May 18.  All materials will be due back to the library by Thursday, May 25.

Any scheduling changes need to be by May 15 as we are making staffing decisions now.

MOVING NEXT SCHOOL YEAR?

Will your student be moving over the summer to a new school/school district? Please contact our Peet Counseling office at (319)553-2765 or email katie.hinders@cfschools.org.  New schools can request records by faxing Peet at (319)266-8839.

REGISTRATION FOR 23-24 SCHOOL YEAR

The district will be utilizing online registration again for the 23-24 school year. Parents/guardians will receive an email regarding online registration early July.  Returning students may access online registration through your PowerSchool Parent Portal, new students to the district will still need to register with our district Registrar, Jessica Smith, at the Administration Building. SCHOOL CALENDAR FOR 2023-24

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS

The Peet office will be open from June 2-15 from 7:30-3:30pm. The office will reopen on July 31 from 7:30-3:30p.m.

SUMMER READING

The PJH Library will be hosting a Summer Reading Program this year. Students can participate by completing a variety of reading and non reading tasks on a BINGO board from June 2 through the first day of school. BINGO boards can be picked up in the library or downloaded via this link. If you have questions, please reach out to Leah.Cahill@cfschools.org.

The library will be open the following dates this summer for students to come checkout books:
