ISASP Testing 2023
Peet Junior High School will be ISASP (Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress) testing 7th, 8th and 9th grade students in reading on March 28th, math on March 29th, language and a writing essay on Thursday, March 30th & 8th grade Science on March 31st. As always, this is a very important time to have students in school. If you have plans or appointments that conflict with these days, we would appreciate your work to protect these days so your student can be in school.
On Tuesday, March 28 and Wednesday, March 29, students arrive at the normal time with testing beginning at 8:10 a.m. All students will complete testing at 9:20am and we will run a Monday class schedule.
9:30-10:01: Period 1
10:05-10:36: Period 2
10:40-11:14: Period 3
11:18-11:46: Tiger Time
11:50-1:14: Period 4
1:18-1:49: Period 5
1:53-2:24: Period 6
2:28-3:00: Period 7
On Thursday, March 30, students arrive at the normal time with testing beginning at 8:10 a.m. All students will complete testing at 9:50am and we will run the following class schedule:
10:00-10:32: Period 1
10:36-11:08: Period 2
11:12-11:46: Period 3
*no Tiger Time
*Monday PM schedule
11:50-1:14: Period 4
1:18-1:49: Period 5
1:53-2:24: Period 6
2:28-3:00: Period 7
On Friday, March 31, 8th grade students will be taking the Science test during their Science classes.
To ensure that all students have the proper amount of time to complete the tests, periods 6 and 7 will test earlier in the day and not during their scheduled science class period.
- 8th Grade Students with Science Class during period 7 will miss their period 3 class and report to the back gym for testing. During period 7, they will report to their science class for a study hall.
- Students with Science Class during period 6 will miss their period 5 class and report to the back gym for testing. During period 6, they will report to their science class for a study hall.
