Happy Black History Month! In honor of Black History Month, we want to take time to celebrate the remarkable contributions of African Americans throughout history.

Today we want to honor Frederick Douglass, a former enslaved person who became a powerful abolitionist, writer and speaker. He worked tirelessly for equality and justice, and his work helped shape the fight for civil rights in the United States. He once said, “If there is no struggle, there is no progress.”

There will be an informational meeting for all girls planning on playing 9th-12 grade volleyball next fall on Tuesday, February 4th. This meeting will take place during Tiger Time in Peet room 36. If you are planning on playing volleyball for Cedar Falls this coming year, please make every effort to attend this meeting and get important information.


Students, your Chromebook case is for your Chromebook only. Filling it with extra items can cause damage, and broken cases will not be replaced. If your Chromebook breaks due to this, it will be considered intentional damage, and you will be responsible for the replacement cost. See Mrs. Cahill in the library with questions.

Teachers please allow 7th graders to come to Mr. Bates room for Tiger Time Today in Room 29C if they are requesting acceleration.

For all 9th graders interested in playing Men’s Tennis for the 2025 season, there will be a meeting during Tiger Time, in Mr. Suiter’s room #8, on Thursday, February 6th. Please be at the meeting so that Coach Suiter can give you information concerning the tennis season schedule, practice schedule, summer tennis, team uniforms, and answer any questions you may have about the program. Again, the meeting will be for 9th graders interested in playing men’s tennis this season, during Tiger Time, in Mr. Suiter’s room #8, on Thursday, February 6th.

Reminder: Softball open gym for 8th and 9th graders starts Today from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. Open gym will be every other week and take place at the Tiger Travel Softball Facility. Ask or email Mrs. Fisher if you have any questions.
