PEET JUNIOR HIGH DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS


Today is Friday, February 3rd, an A day.


Students who need a bus pass for February, stop by Mrs. Davis’s lunch window before school or during lunch to purchase a bus pass. A two way pass is $50, a one way pass is $25, and a single ride ticket is $1.25. 


9th Grade Girls interested in joining the track & field team, there will be an informational meeting after school today in the cafeteria with Coach Wood. You will need your chromebook, and the meeting should last about 20 minutes. 


The men’s soccer meeting has been rescheduled for February 7th at 7:30am. Any 9th graders interested in joining the soccer team should attend the meeting next Tuesday morning. 


For all 9th graders interested in playing Men’s Tennis for the 2022 season there will be a meeting during Tiger Time at 10:35, in Mr. Suiter’s room #8, next Thursday, February 9th. Please be at the meeting so that Coach Suiter can give you information concerning the tennis season schedule, practice schedule, summer tennis, team uniforms, and answer any questions you may have about the program. 


Today’s Black History Month spotlight is Claudette Colvin. Claudette Colvin is an American pioneer of the 1950s civil rights movement and retired nurse aide.  On March 2, 1955, when she was only 15, Claudette got arrested for refusing to give her seat for a white person 0n a crowded segregated bus. Claudette was the first person to refuse her seat and inspired Rosa Parks and The Montgomery Bus Boycott that followed.
