Student Life Peet Junior HighPEET JUNIOR HIGH DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Good morning Peet Junior High! Today is Wednesday, February 16th, an A day.
A correction from yesterday - The Weight Room will be open today (Wednesday) and NOT Thursday.
The Peet Junior High Variety Show is right around the corner next Friday at 7pm, and Saturday at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets go on sale starting next week! Tickets will be sold before school in the entryway. All tickets are $6. Student tickets are available for the Saturday 2pm show for only $2. The show will feature some of Peet junior highs greatest talents, music, comedy, and entertainment, as well as some great snacks during intermission. Come join us, you won't want to miss it!
For all 9th graders interested in playing Men’s Tennis for the 2022 season there will be a meeting before school at 7:30 AM, in Mr. Suiter’s room #8, on Thursday, February 17. Please be at the meeting so that Coach Suiter can give you information concerning the spring tennis schedule, practice schedule, summer tennis, team uniforms and answer any questions you may have about the program. Again, the meeting will be for 9th graders interested in playing men’s tennis this season, in room #8 at 7:30 AM, in Mr. Suiter’s room #8, tomorrow, February 17.
Anyone interested in ordering a yearbook please see Mrs. Davis at the lunch window. Yearbooks are $15 and need to be ordered by March 31 if you want one for the 2021-22 school year.
Today’s lunch will be: Papa John’s Pizza or Two Cheese & Green Chile Quesadilla, Veggie Bar, Pineapple Chunks and Strawberries.

Today black history month highlight is: James Brown
James Brown, the "Godfather of Soul," was a prolific singer, songwriter and bandleader, as well as one of the most iconic figures in funk and soul music.
James Brown worked his way to the top of funk and R&B music earning the moniker "The Godfather of Soul." His unique vocal and musical style influenced many artists. Brown was also known for his turbulent personal life, as well as his social activism, both in his songwriting ("America is My Home'', "Black and Proud") and advocating the benefits of education to schoolchildren.
