PEET JUNIOR HIGH DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Good morning Peet Junior High! Today is Monday, February 14th, an A day.


Peet students:  If you have not turned in your registration form for classes next year, please do so as soon as possible to the counseling office!  We have presented in every grade level now so we are hoping to get all requests in and counted.  Thank you!


For all 9th graders interested in playing Men’s Tennis for the 2022 season there will be a meeting before school at 7:30 AM, in Mr. Suiter’s room #8, on Thursday, February 17. Please be at the meeting so that Coach Suiter can give you information concerning the spring tennis schedule, practice schedule, summer tennis, team uniforms and answer any questions you may have about the program. Again, the meeting will be for 9th graders interested in playing men’s tennis this season, in room #8 at 7:30 AM, in Mr. Suiter’s room #8, on Thursday, February 17.


9th Grade Boys interested in joining the Men’s Soccer Team at CFHS, there will be a parent meeting tonight at 7:30pm in the HS Auditorium. 

Anyone interested in ordering a yearbook please see Mrs. Davis at the lunch window. Yearbooks are $15 and need to be ordered by March 31 if you want one for the 2021-22 school year.


Today’s lunch will be: Mini Corn Dogs or Chicken Tenders, Potato Wedges, Veggie Bar, Peaches and Apple Slices.


Today black history month highlight is: Benjamin Oliver Davis Jr.

Benjamin Oliver Davis Jr. (December 18, 1912 – July 4, 2002) was a United States Air Force General and commander of the World War II Tuskegee AirMen.

He was the first Black Brigadier General in the United States Air Force. On December 9, 1998, he was promoted to four-star general by President Bill Clinton. During World War II, Davis was commander of the 99th Fighter Squadron and the 32nd Fighter Group which escorted bombers on air combat missions over Europe. Davis followed in his father's footsteps in breaking racial barriers, as Benjamin O. Davis SR was the first Black general in the United States Army.
