PEET JUNIOR HIGH DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS


Today is Thursday, February 25th a B Day.


If you are interested in purchasing a Women’s State Basketball t-shirt, you must fill out the order form on the CFHS Athletics website and have money turned into Mrs. Baron by 3:00pm today! Shirts will be in by Monday morning at the latest. 


Today’s Black History Month highlight is Jackie Joyner-Kersee. Jackie Joyner-Kersee is one of the greatest track and field athletes in American history. The first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in the long jump and the first woman to compile more than 7,000 points in the seven-event heptathlon, Joyner-Kersee went on to win three golds, a silver and two bronze medals over four separate Olympics. She was named Sports Illustrated for Women's top female athlete of the 20th century.


A reminder that tomorrow is the last day to participate in Black History Month Bingo. Try to finish up any last minute challenges and bring your bookmarks into the library for prizes! Check Schoology if you want a preview of March's reading activity!


9th Grade Girls interested in playing Women’s Soccer, there is a parent and player informational meeting on March 2nd at 5:30pm in the high school cafeteria. This is a requirement for anyone planning on joining the team. There will be open weight lifting for players before the meeting at 4:10pm in the high school weight room. The first official practice is March 22nd. We continue with Tuesday/Thursday open weight room from 4:10-5:00pm and Friday 6:00-7:00pm open gym at Lincoln Elementary School, each week until practice starts. 9th graders interested in playing baseball this summer sign-up via Google from in Schoology. There will be an informational meeting on Monday, March 1 in the Library at 9:05am for players   Please fill out the form via Schoology or Contact Coach Williams via email at  brett.williams@cfschools.org if you have any questions, or you are unable to attend.

 

Students who are interested in purchasing a Yearbook for the 2020-21 school year can do so now at the lunch window with Mrs. Baron. Yearbooks are $15. The last day to purchase a yearbook is March 31. See Mrs. Cahill in the library with questions!

 

Today’s lunch will be: Tangerine Chicken, Sweet Chili Chicken, Tony’s Cheese Sticks, Rice, Broccoli, Pears, and Strawberries.
