Today is Friday, February 12th a B Day.

Today’s Black History Month highlight is Benjamin Oliver Davis Jr, a United States Air Force General and commander of the World War II Tuskegee AirMen. Davis Jr. was the first Black Brigadier General in the United States Air Force. In 1998, he was promoted to four-star general by President Clinton. During World War II, Davis Jr. was commander of the 99th Fighter Squadron and the 32nd Fighter Group, which escorted bombers on air combat missions over Europe. Davis Jr. followed in his father's footsteps in breaking racial barriers, as Davis Sr. was the first Black general in the US Army.

Today is the last day for Blind Date with a Book in the library. If you haven't grabbed a book yet and want to participate, be sure to stop by the library today!

Students who are interested in purchasing a Yearbook for the 2020-21 school year can do so now at the lunch window with Mrs. Baron. Yearbooks are $15. The last day to purchase a yearbook is March 31. See Mrs. Cahill in the library with questions!
