Student Life Peet Junior High

PEET JUNIOR HIGH DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today is Friday, January 31, an A day.

The Tik Tok enrichment has been cancelled for today.

Ms. Eilers' tiger time, 6th, and 7th period classes need to report to Mr. Byersdorfer in the Band Room.  There will be no choir lessons today.

Starting Monday, February 3, we will have a Sharing Table in the Cafeteria. The Sharing Table is a cart where students can put unopened food or drink items from the hot lunch line that they did not use or want. Then, other students can take things off the cart that they may want. The goal is to waste less food and allow sharing of food.

Eligible items: Milk carton, chip bag, yogurt, string cheese, carrot package, applesauce cup, fresh fruit, fruit juice, craisins, condiment packet, raisels, sidekick cup, or similar item.

Process: Only students who purchase a hot lunch can bring an item back to the Share Table cart. They can drop it off at any time before they leave the cafeteria. Any student (hot or cold lunch) can come and take an item from the cart.

Rules for the Share Cart

Items cannot be opened or used

Items must be from the hot lunch line - cannot be from a cold lunch

Items on the table are only for students

Teachers and Para's should not put items on/off the cart

Teachers and Para's should not ask students to put items on the cart - it is voluntary and there is no pressure

College graduates have more earning potential on average than people who only have a high school diploma. Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that in 2018, people with a college degree made around $62,296 a year. Someone with a high school diploma earned just $37,960. That could mean non-college grads are missing out on $1 million in earnings over a lifetime.

Today’s lunch will be: French Toast Sticks with Sausage, Breaded Chicken Sandwich, Hashbrown Patty, Veggie Bar, Fresh Fruit, Mandarin Oranges, and Raisels.

Happy Birthday to: Kaylee McSweeney!

Happy Birthday this weekend to: Amel Ibradzic, Brevin Kinard, & Christopher Canfield!
