Student Life Peet Junior High

PEET JUNIOR HIGH DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today is Wednesday, September 11th a B Day.

On this date in 2001, beginning at 8:46 am, a series of terrorist attacks destroyed the twin towers of the World Trade Center, severely damaged the Pentagon, and took the lives of many Americans. This day is now known as Patriot Day to commemorate the lives that were lost and the heroes who risked their lives saving others during the 9/11 attacks.  I ask all of you to observe a moment of silence at this time in their honor.

Thank you for your support and honoring our fallen.

A reminder that Echoes ends at 4:00 today. Students should make a plan to get home immediately after Echoes ends.

Don’t forget - Student Council applications are due in the Counseling Office by the end of the day today!

Science club begins today! Times for Science Club are Wednesdays 3:00 - 4:00pm in Room #38. See Mrs. Sliwinski or Mr. Mord if you have any questions.

Want to win some FABULOUS prizes and get to know Peet staff better?  Next to front display case are posted staff Bitmojis. See how many you can match with the right staff member.  A prize will be given to one student in each grade with the most correct answers. You may enter once and winners will be announced on Monday, September 16th.  Have Fun!

Junior high girls and boys cross country will be dismissed at 1:15 on Thursday, September 12. Please be in your meet attire when you get on the bus. The bus will not be returning to Peet, so you also need to bring all of your things with you. The bus leaves at 1:25 for our meet in Marshalltown.

Today’s lunch will be: Breaded Chicken Sandwich, Bosco Sticks, Mixed Veggies, Veggie Bar, Fresh Fruit, and Apple Slices.

Happy Birthday to: Caiden Buskohl, Kaleb Larson, Isaiah Mayfield, & Grant Wolf!
