9.25 - Shelter in place and dangerous intruder drill

9.26 - 4th Grade Orchestra Kick Off at Cedar Falls High School at 9:30 AM

9.28-10.1 - 3rd Grade to Museum School

10.8 - 6th Grade Concert at 7:00 on the west playground

10.9 - No school for students Preschool through 12th grade, professional learning for staff

10.13 - 6th Grade Concert rain date

10.13 - PALS (Parents and Lincoln School) meeting at 7:00 PM in the Media Center

10.15 - Walk To School Day (more information will be coming!)

10.22 - School picture retakes

10.23 - Lincoln off site evacuation drill

10.23 - Noon dismissal for Preschool through 6th grade students

10.29 - 5th Grade Music Concert at 6:30 PM in the Gym, doors will open at 6:15 PM

Building Block by Block - In elementary math, learning builds like a tower. Missing just one day can mean missing the foundation for the next week's lessons. Help your child keep their learning tower strong by aiming for perfect weekly attendance!

Safety Drills (https://tinyurl.com/yc2c2782) - Students and staff at all Cedar Falls schools participate in drills to continually improve our Safe School Plan. These drills help make sure everyone understands what to do in a crisis situation. Drills are practiced for fire, tornado, dangerous intruder, and off-site evacuation situations. Classroom teachers explain the purpose of the drill in age-appropriate discussions with students, and drills are clearly identified as only a drill. If you wish to opt your child out of participating in these discussions or drills, please contact your building principal. More information will be coming regarding drills.

Morning Drop Off Needs - thank you for reading carefully to ensure we are safe and efficient during drop off each morning. Please pull up as far as possible before dropping off. Also, please help our students exit cars quickly and use the sidewalks to walk towards the building or the cross walk to come to the building. Please do not allow our students to cross the traffic! Last, please take care of all hugs and high fives before coming to school as this slows everything down during drop off. Thank you!

We hope cold weather doesn’t arrive for a long time and we have a very generous organization that helps us help our families with needed gear. Yes, we go outside as much as possible during the cold weather months to enjoy fresh air! If you would like assistance, please complete the link for each member of your family. Thank you!
