Second Step - During the second quarter of the school year Team Lincoln will learn about emotion management. When students can manage their own emotions, they are able to recognize how they feel, understand why they feel that way, and choose healthy ways to respond. Instead of reacting with anger, frustration, or sadness, they learn strategies to calm down, think clearly, and make good decisions. Developing these skills helps children build a positive sense of self, positive relationships, stay focused in class, and handle challenges with confidence and care. Learn how you can support this at home!
