New Announcements
COVID Protocol Changes - We will begin notifying families of COVID exposures by class and through email. In addition, we will press pause on our plan to bring all groups back to our lunchroom and continue our current practice of students and grades alternating their lunch location (classroom or cafeteria) each week.
This is a friendly reminder that we will open our doors for students at 8:30! Please do not allow students to arrive early unless they need to report for Safety Patrol as we do not provide supervision. With colder weather arriving we wanted to make sure families planned ahead to support student safety.
5th Grade Growing Up Presentations - 5th grade growing up presentations are scheduled at our High School Auditorium on Monday, January 10th for boys and Thursday, January 13th. Each presentation will begin at 6:30 PM. Parents should plan to attend with their students please.
Are you ready for the return of Wacky Winterfest? The annual Wacky Winterfest Fun Fair and Raffle Fundraiser will be held this year on February 19, 2022 at Lincoln Elementary School. We are excited to have our yearly family friendly school carnival return! The event is an opportunity to help us raise funds to support our school. Our current goal is to raise money to buy books to be used to support reading instruction for our students. Our students will have the chance to sell raffle tickets to friends and family for prizes as well! Please read the attached letter for more information and opportunities to help!
Lincoln Spirit Gear Sale! Please turn in order forms to our classroom teachers before January 14th!
General Reminders
Face Coverings - we strongly encourage the continued use of face coverings at school. Our goal is to keep everyone in our school learning! Thank you for helping keep all members of our school community safe!
Visitors and Volunteers - as stated above, we are planning to allow volunteers to begin in our school following January 18th. Please plan to complete the volunteer application and turn in at the door. We are not currently allowing visitors to our classrooms and lunchroom.
Arrival And Dismissal - we are working to help our students safely enter and leave the building. In the morning, we will ask students to arrive between 8:30 and 8:45. They will report to their classrooms. At the end of the day, we will first dismiss students by grade who ride the bus. Following this, we will dismiss students who are picked up or walk home. Our staff will walk students to the door. Our Kindergarten and 1st grade students will dismiss at their outside classroom doors, second grade will dismiss onto the east playground, third grade will also dismiss onto the east playground, fourth grade will dismiss using our main entrance doors on 8th street and 5th and 6th grade will dismiss using our 7th street doors. We appreciate families making and following consistent after school plans. Thank you for helping us support safe morning arrivals and afternoon dismissals!
Snacks and Birthday Treats - We are proud to be a Blue Zones school and encourage healthy choices when students bring food for their daily snack. In addition, to support safety this school year when celebrating birthdays, we will ask for families to bring prepackaged items to minimize handling. Thank you!
See you next week!
