Please Complete The Acceptable Use Agreement!
Lincoln Families,
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we are assigning devices for individual student use. Before devices can be taken home by students, a Responsible Use Procedure agreement must be signed by students and parents. The Responsible Use Procedures clearly lay out expectations for student behavior when using school devices and online resources. While timelines may differ based on whether students will be attending classes virtually or in person, we encourage all families to complete the electronic agreement as soon as possible to prevent delays.
All Families
The Cedar Falls Schools Acceptable Use Policy can be found here. Once you have had a chance to review this policy and its implications with your student, please fill out this Responsible Use Procedures Agreement Form. The form needs to be completed for each student within a household.
Online Learning Families
Lincoln students who have opted into online learning can pick up their assigned device from the Lincoln cafeteria between 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM on Wednesday, August 19th. Kindergarten-2nd Grade students will be issued an iPad and 3rd-6th Grade students will be issued a Chromebook. Devices cannot be handed out to students who do not have a signed Responsible Use Procedures Agreement on file (the form collects digital signatures). You are welcome to come in to complete this agreement or complete in advance.
In Person Learning Families
Devices will not be sent home with students while in person learning is possible. In the event that a class, building or the district as a whole must transition to online learning, devices will be sent home with students on the last day of in person classes. If we are not given advance notice of a closure, device pick up will be scheduled quickly after the closure is announced and details communicated to families. Devices cannot be sent home with students who do not have a signed Responsible Use Procedures Agreement on file (the form collects digital signatures).
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. We are eager to make this a smooth start to the 2020-2021 school year for all our students!
Respectfully,
Ralph Bryant
Lincoln Principal
