New Information:

Lincoln students had a visit from the Farm to School Program today.  They tried a variety of peppers. See the attached handout about what they learned and for follow-up questions for your student.

Homecoming Week Dress Up Days - let’s have some fun with homecoming week! Students are encouraged (not required) to show their school spirit!

PALS Meeting minutes - thank you to those who attended our rescheduled PALS meeting on Monday, September 16th. Here are our minutes!

Walk to School Day will be on Wednesday, October 2nd! If you would like participate, please meet at one of the locations below to walk with your Lincoln friends and families.  UNI athletes and Waterloo Blackhawk athletes are going to lead us on our way to safe walking.

Meeting Locations:

· Clay Street Park - corner of Clay Street and 16th Street

· Sartori Park – corner of college and 4th St

Meeting Time:  Between 7:45-8:00am    

Reminders:

This is a friendly reminder that our school and breakfast opens each morning at 8:30. Students should not be dropped off at school or on our playgrounds before this time. In addition, we are asking for families to help our students build independence by letting them walk to their classroom on their own. Following dismissal, students should be picked up or go directly home. Unless under direct supervision of an adult, they cannot be on our playgrounds until after 4:15.

Student Directory - PALS (Parents and Lincoln School) offers our students and families an opt in directory to allow families to share information for invitations and play dates outside of school. If you would like to join or update information, please use these directions. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Bryant!

Cedar Falls Home Football Games Elementary students must be accompanied and supervised by adult chaperones during the game. They should be sitting in the stands and not hanging out or running around in the concourse area.  

Tiger Bucks Are Back! Tiger Bucks Can Now Be Purchased Online! We now have the ability to do online scrip orders! Each order will help you with everyday purchases and also support our school! Orders are due by September 5th!

Here is how it works:

 - Go to shopwithscrip.com and select REGISTER, then JOIN a SCRIP PROGRAM.

 - Our school code is: E98A55LD24662

 -  Once you have Parents and Lincoln School selected as your preferred program, create your personal login!

 - Add your bank information (it can take a couple days for the bank info to be approved and added to your account...so make sure to do this step right away so you are ready to order soon!)

Paper copies of the order form will be available in the office if you prefer that route.
