2026-2027 School Year
Summer is here! We have several weeks off before the 2026-2027 school year begins but it is never too early to plan ahead.
REGISTRATION FOR 26-27 SCHOOL YEAR
Registration will be online for the 26-27 school year. Parents/guardians will receive an email regarding onlin registration in early July. Returning students will access online registration through your PowerSchool Parent Portal. Students who are new to the district will register with out district registrar at the Cedar Falls Schools Admin building.2026-2027 School Calendar
Dates to remember:
Boost is scheduled on August 11 & 12 for incoming seventh grade students.
School pictures are August 11. Eighth & ninth grade are 1-4 p.m and seventh grade is 5-7 p.m.
Welcome back: August 19, 3:30-5 p.m.
First day of school: August 24, 9:30-3 p.m.
Building Hours:
The Holmes office will be open from 7:00-3:00. Summer is vacation time so if you need to connect with Mrs. Jensen, Mr. Jones, or Mr. Knutson call or email first so you don't miss them.
Holmes Summer Reading
Keep reading this summer by taking advantage of the summer reading opportunites at the Holmes Junior High Library. Mix it up and complete a Book Bingo to add a twist to your reading. The library will be open during the summer the following days and times:
Friday, June 19, 10-11 a.m.
Tuesday, June 30, 1- p.m.
Wednesday, July 15, 11-12 p.m.
Monday, July 27, 9-10 a.m.
Thursday, August 13, 2-3 p.m.
