Gabrielle Hanks Wins Good Samaritan Award

Gabrielle Hanks (8) recently received an award for her outstanding citizenship and care she showed toward her brother when he was attacked and bitten by a dog. Her brother needed immediate medical attention and Gabbie had the wherewithal to get him to the hospital. Her brother needed stitches and more for his severed finger.

Due to the love and courage she showed for her brother, Gabrielle was awarded the MercyOne Good Samaritan Award in the Youth Category. She received this award via a virtual ceremony, which can be viewed here on YouTube.

All staff at Holmes Jr. High would like to commend Gabby on her actions and the honor for receiving such a wonderful award. Students like Gabby truly make Holmes a special place, where all students can feel appreciated and cared for.
