Cedar Falls Men’s Basketball team will be competing in the State Tournament! They will play Sioux City East on Tuesday, March 5 at 6:30 pm at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. We will have a Pep Bus available. It will leave CFHS at 3:45 on March 5. Cost is $6.00, plus $10.00 for the game ticket that will handed out to the students on the Pep Bus. Deadline to sign-up and pay is Tuesday, March 5 at 12:15 pm. With a win on Tuesday, we will play on Thursday, March 7 at 6:30 pm. We will offer a Pep Bus for that game also. Cost is $16.00 which will include the cost of the game ticket. That bus will leave CFHS at 3:45 pm . Please see your school’s website to sign up for the Pep Bus. There are also State Men’s Basketball t-shirts for sale. Check out the website. Order on-line and please pay in the office by Monday, March 4 at 3:00 pm.Listen up junior leadership: We will be meeting during the entire Power Hour TODAY! Please, try to make it for the majority of Power Hour if you can, as we will be finalizing what decorations we want to order for prom. We will meet in room 160!
If you are interested in trying out for Cheerleading for next year, there is a mandatory meeting tomorrow, Saturday, March 2 at 10:00 am in the CFHS cafeteria. The meeting is for current 8-11th graders. Please enter on the south side of the building at the horseshoe entrance and go down the stairs to the cafeteria. Cheer tryouts will be Saturday, March 9 from 8:00 to 5:00 pm in the CFHS gym.
The Mother Moon Scholarship is guaranteed to one Cedar Falls High School Student junior who has done community service. Apply now. The deadline is Wednesday, March 6th!! See Schoology for the links.
Follow the Tigers: SATURDAY: NEIBA Jazz Contest will take place at West High School; There will be an Orchestra activity at Cedar Rapids Kennedy.

The Cedar Falls High School Drama department presents Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella on Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9 in the CFHS auditorium. Ticket prices are $9.00 for adults and $8.00 for students – no passes will be accepted for these shows. Pre-sale tickets are now available for purchase through the Cedar Falls High School website or you may also purchase tickets at the door on the night of each show. Good luck to Waterloo Warrior athletes from Cedar Falls as they compete for a State Championship starting on Friday. Cobie Morrissey, Kole Latusick, Jack Harrison and John Harrison have helped the Warriors reach a number one seed going into the playoffs. Good luck hockey athletes.
