2nd Semester Cadet Teachers: You have a meeting today 7th period in room 270.
CAPS presentation today in the Auditorium during A shift of power hour. CAPS is a course offered to juniors and seniors in which you can practice professional Teaching, Communication, Design, and/or Engineering skills, in addition to soft skills such as proper email and conducting a meeting.
Junior League of Waterloo-Cedar Falls is sponsoring Prom’s Closet on Feb. 24th 4-8pm and Feb. 25th 10am-2pm at Crossroads Mall. All Prom dresses will be $10.00.
SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS: Next week the school counselors will be visiting Junior English classes and Sophomore Social Studies classes to register for next year. This is a very important process and you need to be prepared!! Make sure you turned in all of your CORE class choices. If not, your portal will not be complete. Be prepared to choose the rest of your electives. Look through the 2017-18 Course Offerings attached and the Awesome Tables for descriptions of the classes. There are so many great choices. You need to be prepared!!
The deadline for the Van's shoe design contest is fast-approaching. Turn in all designs to Ms. Klenske in the Art rooms no later than 3pm on Wednesday, February 15th!
1st semester Art students - pick up your artwork by 3pm this Friday. All remaining artwork after that time will be recycled!

Friday, February 10th, we will be holding an informational meeting for the John Deere Early Talent Program. This program is designed for high school seniors who have an interest in pursuing a career in a STEM-related field. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). This program will be held at 10:30am in the auditorium. By signing up on this form, you will receive a pass from the Counseling office to attend. If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask Mrs. Denholm in the Counseling office. This is a great opportunity if you are interested in a STEM career!!! Sign up on Schoology!!!
CFHS is offering an ACT Prep Seminar for students looking for some extra preparation for the upcoming ACT Testing dates. Seminar information and sign up is posted on the main high school website.
Please join Student Senate for our 6th annual Dance Marathon on Friday, Feb 17th from 7-10 in our gym. Please check your schoology to sign up to purchase tickets, your tshirt, the dodgeball tournament and our new dance off competition. We will also have glow and the dark hide and seek, 9 square, plinko. All proceeds will go to the Iowa Children's Hospital. Tickets are $5 now and $7 at the door. Tshirts are $10.
Those girls interested in going out for golf this spring: There will be a MANDATORY preseason meeting on Wednesday, Feb 15th during B shift in the health room. If you have any questions, please see Coach Youngkent.
For anyone interested in playing Men’s Tennis during the 2017 season, there will be a meeting after school at 3:00 PM, in Room 106 on Thursday, February 16. Please be at the meeting so that Coach Suiter and Coach Wilkinson can give you information concerning the spring tennis schedule, practice schedule, ordering t-shirts, and answer any questions you may have about the program.
