Recess Dress Policy in the colder weather

North Cedar 6th Grade Students spent the morning of December 18th at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank in Waterloo. For 2 hours, they bagged and boxed cereal. At the end, they had filled 2 pallets with boxes of cereal. 60 boxes per pallet, 120 boxes total. 6 bags of cereal in each box, for a total of 720 bags of cereal ready for the community and other food banks in Northeast Iowa.Thank you for your hard work!

Students practice durable skills every day and earn S.H.I.N.E. tickets when they are caught showing respect, having a helpful heart, exhibiting integrity, navigating the hard situations, and engaging in learning.  We love to see those shining North Cedar students!

Fall and Colder Temps- Temperatures fluctuate during the Fall months. Students will need jackets, coats, or sweatshirts when the weather permits. We follow these temperature guidelines:0 Degrees/wind chill below zero = indoorsBelow 50 degrees= coat needed50-60 degrees = long sleeve shirt/ jacket60 degrees or above = student choice

We are excited to welcome our families and students for conferences on October 28th (4:15-8:15 PM) and 30th (1:00-8:00 PM). We are moving to Family/Teacher conferences to allow families more time to speak with our staff. We hope to have volunteers available in each hallway to allow for private conversations, if needed.
