Hello Lincoln Families - Our last day of school is today! We will dismiss at 11:30 AM, please make plans to pick your students up on time!

A few important dates:

6.3 - 6th Grade Graduation Walk at app. 11:00 AM

6.3 - Last day of school, we will dismiss at 11:30 AM

As we begin to wrap up the 2024–2025 school year, I’d like to share an important update about a change we’re making for the upcoming school year. Starting in 2025–2026, Lincoln Elementary will no longer be a Leader in Me school. This was a thoughtful decision made by our staff. While we’ve valued the Leader in Me program and the lessons it has brought to our community, we believe it’s time for a new era that aligns with our district and building goals.

6th Grade Graduation Walk - We are looking forward to our yearly tradition of having our 6th grade students walk the halls of Lincoln Elementary near the end of our last day of school on Tuesday, June 3rd. This allows our students and staff to cheer for them and wish them well as they end their time at Lincoln. 6th Grade parents are welcome to attend! If you are able to join us, please plan to arrive at approximately  11:00 AM. You are also welcome to take your students with you when we are done, our walk will end with a picture outside of our Gym. Please make sure you connect with our teaching staff before leaving.

Student Medications - Parents and Guardians, Just a reminder to pick up your student’s left over medications from the Health Office. Our district does not allow us to send medications home with students, except for emergency medications. All others need to be picked up by an adult. Medications that are not picked up will be destroyed as they cannot be carried over to another school year. Thank you!

Lost and Found - our lost and found is very full! Please be sure to have your students check for any missing items during the month of May. All remaining items are donated at the end of the school year.

End of the Year Lunch Accounts - In order to balance our accounts in the lunch program at the close of the school year, we need to have your child's lunch account balance at 0 or above. Please bring it up-to-date as soon as possible. Any remaining balance will remain in your child's account and carry over for next year. If your children will not be attending Cedar Falls schools next year, please let us know as soon as possible and they will be given a refund of the balance left in their account at the end of the year.

Would you like to buy a Lincoln yearbook? We have them available in the office for $15. You are welcome to bring in cash or check made out to Lincoln Elementary!

Summer Reading Programs - There are many free summer reading programs starting soon! The public library has a fantastic lineup of events planned and kids can earn free books and other prizes for reading. Last year Lincoln had the most students participate out of any of the CF elementary schools and we earned the Summer Reading trophy!
