Lincoln Weekly Announcements 2023-06-01

Lincoln Families -  How is it possible that our school year is coming to an end? Thank you for sharing your children with us this year, we can’t wait until we get started again in the fall!

A few important dates and announcements for your planning:

6.1 - Snow makeup date #2 - Report cards emailed home, 6th grade Graduation walk at approximately 3:15 PM

New Items:

Variety Show Canceled - Due to illness, we will need to cancel our Variety Show. This is a great Lincoln tradition and nearly all were able to perform in their grade level mini Variety Shows. Thank you for understanding, our staff will ensure that our students have a positive last day of school despite this change.

6th Grade Graduation Walk - we started a new tradition at Lincoln a year ago where our 6th grade students participated in a graduation walk through the halls of our school near the end of our last day. This allows our students and staff to cheer for them and wish them well as they end their time at Lincoln. Parents are welcome to attend, you could plan to arrive at approximately 3:15 PM. You are also welcome to take your students with you when we are done, our walk will end with a picture outside of our Gym. Please make sure you connect with our teaching staff before leaving.

Student Medications - Parents and Guardians, Just a reminder to pick up your student’s left over medications from the Health Office. Our district does not allow us to send medications home with students, except for emergency medications. All others need to be picked up by an adult. Medications that are not picked up will be destroyed as they cannot be carried over to another school year. Thank you!

Lunch Accounts -In order to balance our accounts in the lunch program at the close of the school year, we need to have your child's lunch account balance at zero or above. Please bring it up to date as soon as possible. Any remaining balance will remain in your child's account and carry over for next year. If your children will not be attending Cedar Falls schools next year, please let us know as soon as possible and they will be given a refund of the balance left in their account at the end of the year. If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Czuba at 319- 553-2989.
