Lincoln Families - Thank you for an amazing week!

A few upcoming dates:

4.12-4.16 - ISASP Testing Window (see below for more information)

4.12 - PALS meeting at 7 PM

4.19-4.23 - Conditions for Learning survey

4.19-4.23 - ISASP Make Ups

Safety Reminders:

Our school and school district will maintain our safety procedures regarding masks, hand washing and regular cleaning.

We would appreciate having all families wear face masks when dropping off or picking up from school. In addition, please help our students keep them on until you leave our school and school grounds. Thank you!

Face Coverings - please remember that students will be required to have a face covering at school and on the bus. The most recent guidance from our state states that if a student is exposed to a positive case in a community setting such as school and both people are properly wearing masks, the exposed individual would not need to quarantine. This will only apply to students who are wearing masks, not face shields. Our most recent Return To Learn family frequently asked questions document can be found here.

Visitors and Volunteers - to support safety, we will not be able to allow visitors or volunteers to enter our classrooms. We will continue to have adults in the hallway to help our students each morning. In addition, if you come to the building to pick up your child, you can enter the office or call and we will walk the student outside to our visitor parking spots.

Arrival And Dismissal - we are working to help our students safely enter and leave the building. In the morning, we ask students to arrive between 8:30 and 8:45. Please do not come before 8:30. As our weather gets colder, please plan to arrive after 8:30 as we will not be able to have kids come inside the school early. After 8:30, we will continue to ask students to report to their classrooms. At the end of the day, we will dismiss students by grade to the bus. Following this, we will dismiss students who are picked up or walk home. Our staff will walk students to the door. There will be no after school activities so we will expect students to leave school immediately following dismissal. Thank you for your patience as we work to support student safety each morning and afternoon.

Additional Announcements:

Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) - During the week of April 12th, all Cedar Falls 3rd-6th grade students will take the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) tests. These will be taken digitally using our Chromebooks. Students and families can take advantage of online practice tests to help students prepare. We will also be using these practice tests during school. Please help our students to be ready by ensuring they are rested, fed and come to school with a positive mental attitude. We ask that families ensure students are at school and appointments are avoided during this week. Last, we will ask students to leave home electronic devices or be prepared to turn in to staff during testing. Virtual families, we also need your students to complete testing! If you have questions, please let us know!
