Lincoln Weekly Announcements 2020-10-09
Lincoln Families - Thank you for an amazing week! Please enjoy the amazing fall weather this weekend!
A few upcoming dates:
10.12 - PALS meeting at 7 PM
10.16 - No school for students in Preschool through 12th grade
10.23 - AEA Hearing Tests 8:00-10:30 AM
10.30 - Noon Dismissal for students (we will serve lunch before dismissal)
Safety Reminders:
Face Coverings - please remember that students will be required to have a face covering at school. OUr Governor made changes to exposure procedures this week. If a student is exposed to a positive case in a community setting such as school and both people are properly wearing masks, the exposed individual would not need to quarantine. This will only apply to students who are wearing masks, not face shields. Our most recent Return To Learn family frequently asked questions document can be found here.
Visitors and Volunteers - to support safety, we will not be able to allow visitors or volunteers to enter our classrooms. We will continue to have adults in the hallway to help our students each morning. In addition, if you come to the building to pick up your child, you can enter the office or call and we will walk the student outside to our visitor parking spots.
Arrival And Dismissal - we are working to help our students safely enter and leave the building. In the morning, we ask students to arrive between 8:30 and 8:45. Please do not come before 8:30. They will report to their classrooms. At the end of the day, we will dismiss students by grade to the bus. Following this, we will dismiss students who are picked up or walk home. Our staff will walk students to the door. There will be no after school activities so we will expect students to leave school immediately following dismissal. Thank you for your patience as we work to support student safety each morning and afternoon.
Additional Announcements:
In-Person to Virtual Request - If you would like to request a transfer from in-person learning to our virtual campus, please take this survey. Please do not fill this out if you plan to stay with the current mode of in-person learning. The deadline for this survey will be Friday, October 9th at noon.
We need your help! Our District Equity Committee would like to gather student input as we seek to provide a safe school environment for all of our students. We would like families of students currently in grades 2nd through 6th grade to complete this survey together between September 25th and October 9th. In addition, we have prepared this frequently asked questions (FAQ) document to provide answers to your questions. Please contact Mr. Bryant with any questions. Thank you!
Please join us for the PALS (Parents and Lincoln School) meeting on Monday, October 12th! PALS stands for Parents and Lincoln School.
