Combining Reading and Science In 4th Grade!

Our 4th graders have put on their engineer thinking caps this week, and have combined their reading and science units by researching natural disasters and the affect they have on our environment. As a way to showcase their learning, students were presented with the challenge of creating a structure that could withstand a tsunami, hurricane, flood, tornado, or earthquake. It has been great to observe the creative thinking, teamwork, and problem solving skills that have been taking place in our classrooms!
