Scheduling Presentations: 26-27 School Year

Its time to start thinking about scheduling classes for fall 2027. It is an especially exciting and sometimes nerve-wracking time for students who are changing buildings and their adults. Parents often have a lot of questions, some of them they have not even though of yet. The School Counselors at Holmes Junior High are providing an opportunity to help you through this time. There are parent meetings scheduled to provide an overview for each grade leve transition since the questions are often specific to the grade level. Students are welcome to attend but School Counselors will meet with Holmes seventh and eighth grades during the school day. They will also be meeting with sixth graders at their current elementary school in the coming weeks.

Ninth grade parents: Monday, January 26, the Cedar Falls High School Counslors have planned a Course Showcase beginnin at 6:30 p.m. followed by a scheduling presentationat 7:00 p.m. Holmes ninth grade students will have visits from the Cedar Falls High School Counselors during English class for student presentation and the CFHS School Counselors will return to schedule students for their fall classes. The presentation will be in the CFHS auditorium.

Sixth grade parents: you only need to attend one of the meetings (Tuesday, January 27 or February 3 at 7:00 p.m.) in the Holmes Cafeteria.

Seventh grade parents: Tuesday January 27 at 5:30 p.m in the Holmes Cafeteria.

Eighth grade parents: Tuesday January 27 at 6:15 p.m in the Holmes Cafeteria.
