Cedar Falls High School – 2025-26 First Semester Exam Schedule

All students are required to attend their testing periods during the hours listed below. 

HEALTH FINALS 

MONDAY, JANUARY 12TH (“B” DAY) REGULAR SCHEDULE - PERIOD 5 WILL BE TESTING 

TUESDAY, JANUARY 13TH (“A” DAY) REGULAR SCHEDULE - PERIODS 2, 3 AND 4 WILL BE TESTING 

Students who miss Health finals on their assigned day will be required to take the test on Thursday, Jan. 15 during the test makeup time. Health tests will be designed to last approximately 45 minutes, so regular schedule and extended periods will both have the opportunity to  finish their tests 

Online Health class will be given final VIRTUALLY. 

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14TH PER. 1 - TEST 7:55 - 9:15 

“B” DAY (10 MINUTE BREAK) 

PER. 2 - TEST 9:25 – 10:50 [Announcements at the beginning of 2nd period] 

Power Hour/Lunch 10:55 - 11:25 (Shift 1) 

Early Bird Health  & Early Bird PE  will NOT meet on  this day.

11:30 - 12:00 (Shift 2) 

PER. 3 - TEST 12:05 - 1:25 

(10 MINUTE BREAK) 

PER. 4 - TEST 1:35 – 2:55 

Teacher Support until 3:25  

THURSDAY, JANUARY 15TH PER. 5 - TEST 7:55 - 9:15 

“A” DAY (10 MINUTE BREAK) 

PER. 6 - TEST 9:25 – 10:50 [Announcements at the beginning of 6th period] 

Early Bird Health  & Early Bird PE  will NOT meet on  this day. 

Power Hour/Lunch 10:55 - 11:25 (Shift 1) 

11:30 - 12:00 (Shift 2) 

PER. 7 - TEST 12:05 - 1:25 

TEST MAKEUP 1:35 – 2:55 

Teacher Support until 3:25 / Buses will run at the regular times 

FRIDAY, JANUARY 16TH No School – Teacher Workday 

MONDAY, JANUARY 19TH No School – MLK Jr. Day 

TUESDAY, JANUARY 20TH (“A” Day) First day of Second Semester 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

All students will remain in their classroom for the entire testing period. Students need to bring appropriate materials to keep  themselves occupied should they complete the comprehensive exam ahead of schedule. No one is to be released into the halls early! Students in the building who are not testing will report to one of the quiet study areas; the commons, library, learning stairs or shall be in  a classroom with an instructor who will be supervising.  

No student will be allowed to loiter in the halls at any time. 

Students leaving the building are not to loiter on school grounds or parking lot. 

Juniors and seniors are reminded to follow the requirements of their Release Agreement. 

Students returning to the building should remain in the commons areas until 5 minutes prior to the start of the next scheduled exam  period. 

STUDY HALLS 

There will be no checking out of study halls during test days. 

All Students will be expected to be out of the halls during testing periods. 

Study Halls will meet every hour, with the exception of 7th period on Thursday! 

All students must bring homework or a book to read.  

JUNIORS AND SENIORS 

ALL Fees, Fines, and Detention Time must be cleared from first semester to maintain 2nd semester releases Students with outstanding detention time are subject to loss of release – check detention with the Assoc. Principal or Attendance Office Fines may be viewed on the “Fees” tab in PowerSchool
