Student Council Officer and Representative applications are now open. The HJH Student Council website was posted to Schoology on Thursday 9/3. All applications are due by Monday, September 14. The Election will be Wednesday, September 16. Please send all questions to Mrs. Rouse 

The Holmes GSA will have its first meeting today during Tiger Time. The Gender and Sexuality Awareness Club is a safe place for LGBTQ students and allies to meet and talk about issues and events related to gender and sexuality. All are welcome every other Friday. 

Congratulations to the jr high boys cross country team on their 1st place finish at the Bobcat Invitational in Marshalltown last night. They were led by a 1st place finish from Holden Bill, 7th place finish from Samuel Fisher, and an 8th place finish by Blake Randall. Way to go Tigers! 

Shout out to the junior high girls cross country team for competing in their first meet of the season yesterday in Marshalltown! Cedar Falls had two runners finish in the top 20, out of 225 athletes. Shout out to Evanie Kunkle for her 18th place finish and MJ Squires for her 19th place finish. The team is back in action next Tuesday for our home meet. Go Tigers! 

Holmes Writing Project starts this Wednesday after school. All are welcome to join us in Ms. Dieken's room, room 1. This is a creative writing club that meets weekly after school. Transportation home is provided via the ECHOES bus. If you're interested and want to learn more, please speak to Mrs. Tresemer or Ms. Dieken.
