Pies for Pups Update:As we enter the 6th day of our competition we have reached nearly 53% of our goal. Well Done.Here are our grade level totals.

7th Grade: $70.50

8th Grade: $113.96

9th Grade: $79.41

Mr. Kuker is our new leader with $70.10 donated

Mr. Rottinghaus is in close second with 54.24 donated

Thank you to all those who have donated so far. Let’s keep up the great work as we work together to support the Cedar Bend Humane Society.


A reminder to tiger times, to finish up your ornament/gingerbread men so they can be picked up by Mrs. Beckers and Mrs. Miller's class today


There will be a Girls 7th/8th Wrestling meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 10th during Tiger Time in Room 7. Any girls interested in wrestling should attend. Please contact Coach Wagoner with any questions.


The deadline to pre-order 2025 – 2026 yearbooks is this Friday, the 12th.. The pre-order price is $19. There will be a limited number of extra copies available in May for pickup after the deadline with a price increase of $21. All orders can be made through the bookkeeper, Mrs. Olsen.


7th grade boys interested in basketball should attend an informational meeting Thursday, during Tiger Time in the new gym.  Please bring your chromebooks.


Candy Cane sales start on Wednesday. All proceeds go to Canes for a Cause which benefits Holmes families for the holiday season. Candy canes are $1 each, 6 for $5 or 12 for $10.


Just  reminder that door decorating ends Monday, December 15th at 3:00pm


The Holmes Student Newspaper Club will be meeting in Mr. Kuker's room during Tiger Time today. All are welcome.


Congratulations to the Holmes 8th grade honor band students who had a great day at the Northeast Iowa Bandmasters Association District Honor Band on Saturday, December 8th. They worked with guest conductors throughout the day and then performed a concert that evening. Honor band students are: Damien Pittman, Natalie Landeros, Kloee Smith, Charlotte Boeke, Aryan Pradeep, Abigail Marrs, Graham Shafer and Jasmine Elgersma.

Additional congratulations to Charlotte Boeke who was accepted as one of 22 students to represent NEIBA in the All Iowa 8th grade band in May. Congratulations to all the students on a wonderful concert!
