Have you been bitten by the acting bug? Do you want to take the stage and wow the crowd? If so, come to Mr. Prouty's room (49B) after school today to audition for the drama portion of the Holmes Variety show. No previous acting experience or preparation needed, just bring yourself and anyone you can bring along. There will also be a make-up audition during Tiger Time tomorrow  if you have an after school conflict.

If you are trying to decide which language class to sign up for or want to learn more about taking French class, stop outside of room 11 on Thursday and Friday morning from 7:45-7:55 to play a quick game, learn about French class, and maybe even win a prize.

The Robotics team is holding a coat drive through December 13th.  They are accepting gently used or unneeded coats, winter gear and back backpacks.  They can be dropped off in the white tote in the office.

The Volunteer Club from Cedar Falls High School is running  a two-week toy drive to provide toys for children who are less fortunate around the Cedar Valley this holiday season.  It will go from 12/9-12/19 and can be dropped off in the front office at Holmes.  They are collecting new or gently used toys that should be suitable for children ages 0-12.

There is still time to order a yearbook for the 2024-2025 school year! They cost $17 which you can bring to the bookkeeper. Ordering now is the only way to guarantee that you will be able to get one! All orders are due by Friday December 13th.

If you missed the Variety Show Drama audition yesterday, you can attend the make-up today during Tiger Time in Mr. Prouty's room. No sign up required, just make sure to check out with your TT teacher before you come.

There will be a 7th grade boys basketball meeting, held on Wednesday, December 11 during Tiger Time. Coach Teply will meet with you in the new gymnasium. Please bring your Chromebook. 

Poetry-Out-Loud is a poetry reading club where we compete for prizes up to $20,000. If you like poetry or performing and are in 9th grade, this would be a great club for you to join! We meet Fridays during Tiger Time in Ms. Dieken's room, Room 1. No sign up is needed.
