Student Life Holmes Junior High7th Grade girls interested in participating in track and field should attend an informational meeting in Miss Fjerstads room (room 9) during Tiger Time. Any 8th grade girls who missed the meeting yesterday are welcome to attend as well.

Today we are going to talk about Serena Williams…..2/17 - Serena Williams is considered to be the number one female tennis player in the world. She has been ranked No. 1 in the World by the Women’s Tennis Association on eight different occasions from 2002-2017. She has participated in 3 Olympics, winning Four Gold Medals in those contests, and she has won 23 Grand Slam singles titles, which is the most by any man or woman in the Open Era of tennis. Her most recent Grand Slam title, at the Australian open in 2017, she won while she was 20 weeks pregnant.
