February is Black History Month. Each day in February, we will be learning about important Black figures who have contributed to society. Today, we are going to talk about… Audre Lorde was an American writer, feminist, womanist, librarian, and civil rights activist. She described herself as “Black, lesbian, mother, warrior, and poet.” Lorde’s work as a feminist is still studied today and her work has helped Black women accept their identities and find love for themselves.
