Holmes Huddle Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will meet for the first time this year on Friday October 23rd at 7:00am in the new gym.Please see Coach Greiner, Coach Peters, or Coach Ward for any additional information.

Ready to enjoy a challenging and fun winter sport?  Give the Cedar Falls Men’s Swim Team a try!  The team will hold an organizational meeting for parents and swimmers on Tuesday, October 20 at 6:30 pm on Zoom.  Practices start November 9.  To get the Zoom link, or if you have any questions, contact parent coordinator Lorelei Redfern at loreleiredfern@icloud.com.


The football playoff t-shirts are now available to order.  Go to the front page on the CFHS website.  Order deadline is Tuesday, Oct 20 at 12:25 pm. 

Attention all students! Next Monday, October 26 Holmes Junior High will be participating in the Iowa Youth Straw poll with students from across the state. You will be given a  chance to voice your opinion on the U.S. President, U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representative races.

Congrats to the following Holmes athletes for competing in the Iowa Middle School State Cross Country Meet in Marshalltown on Saturday: Emily Meyer, Zoe Zylstra, Ella Bobeldyk, Gwen Thompson, Diana Sell, Laken Petrie, Kate Holahan, and Isabelle Cuhat! The 7th grade team earned 2nd place recognition with Ella Bobeldyk finishing first for Holmes athletes with her 9th place finish. Zoe Zylstra finished in the top ten as well for the 8th grade race with a 10th place finish. All of you did an AMAZING job and should feel so proud of what you accomplished this season!

Congratulations to the Boys' Cross Country team! The 7th Grade team placed 3rd overall in the state. Shout out to Jayden Merrick for winning the 7th Grade race outright and to John Ferguson for placing 5th in the 8th Grade race! Great year, you guys.


The Yearbook staff would like to capture how unique this school year is. Tomorrow (Tuesday the 20th) wear one of your favorite masks. During Tiger Time, some Yearbook staff members will capture pictures. Thank you in advance!
