Student Life Holmes Junior HighCongratulations to Keegan Hussey and the CF Ambush Esports team They finished in first place after the regular season in the Central time zone. They were 7-1 during the regular season. There were 244 teams from across the US and Canada who participated in the season. The 16 teams that qualified for the playoffs were also from across the country. On Monday night, they played the team that beat them in the regular season for the final, and won the best of 7 match, 4 games to 1.
Attention 7th grade boys basketball players, there will be a short informational meeting on Thursday at 7:45 in the old gym.
Please fill out the form posted on Schoology if you are interested in joining the new hip-hop dance crew, the Holmes Up & Ups! We will start meeting after winter break and will perform in the Variety Show. No experience required, just a commitment to the crew.
Attention all 9th graders: If you are interested in joining our Battle of the Books team, please attend our meeting today during Tiger Time in Room 7.
Congratulations to 9th grader Jillian Kellum and 8th grader Param Sampat on being selected as finalists for the Know Your Constitution program. Param, Jillian, and the other finalists from around the state will be honored at an awards luncheon in West Des Moines on Monday, January 13th.
The makerspace will be closed during Tiger Time today.
All choir rehearsals are in the new gym today. All 9th grade choir members should report to rehearsal during 5th hour, and all 7/8 treble choir members should report to rehearsal during 6th hour. In addition, all 7th and 8th grade choir members should report to the new gym during Tiger Time for combined choir rehearsal.
