Student Life Holmes Junior HighWant to send some Warm Wishes to friends and family this holiday season? Student Council's annual Candy Cane Sale runs through Friday, December 13. Candy Canes are $1 or $10 for a dozen. All proceeds go to Holmes Canes for a Cause which supports Holmes families.
7th grade boys. Anyone interested in playing basketball should sign up outside Coach Moeller's room #38. Practice will start Jan 2 after school.
Cedar Bend Humane Society will be here for Holmes Hoopla and we want to surprise them with gifts! If you're interested, please drop off donations in the art room. A list of supplies needed is posted on Schoology and on posters around the building.
Holmes LEAD will be welcoming Cedar Valley Refit today in the New Gym. Refit is a dance-inspired workout that gets your body moving, relieves stress, keeps you smiling and laughing, and is sure to make your inner-Beyonce come out! ALL girls are invited!! Let's pack the New Gym on Wednesday during Tiger Time and show our moves!
Variety Show auditions are next week! Sign up for your time slot on the sheets posted outside the choir room. All are welcome to audition!
Any 8th grade boys interested in playing basketball this year will need to meet in the new gym for an informational meeting, Thursday December 12th. Please bring your chromebook. If you cannot attend please email Mr. Becker for information.

Join our Battle of the Books team and read high quality literature while indulging your competitive side……
Our team will meet on Fridays in Mrs. McCabe’s room (Room 7) to practice and prepare for our preliminary rounds in March.
If we make it past the preliminary rounds, we will be invited to the statewide competition on April 22nd, 2020 in Marshalltown, Iowa.
But a lot has to happen between now and then…… we have to read, read, read………discuss, discuss, discuss, all while enjoying award winning literature for teens and young adults!
Attend an informational meeting on Friday, December 13th in Mrs. McCabe’s room during Tiger Time to get all of your questions answered!
Holmes Junior High Student Council's meeting for today has been moved to Thursday during Tiger Time in the FCS kitchen. See you there.
There will be no lunch choir rehearsal during Tiger Time today. We will rehearse like normal during your lunch shifts.
