The Holmes band students had a great day at honor band this past Saturday. All ten students from Holmes were in the top top chairs of their section/part and five out of ten students were first chair in their band. Three students: Cian Wenzel on bass clarinet, Taylor Johnson-1st trumpet, and Kristen Engelhardt-1st trombone) were selected to play at the All-Iowa Eighth Grade Band in Des Moines in May. This was quite an honor as there are only 22 students selected out of the 264 auditioning. Congratulations on your fantastic work preparing for the honor band!
