School pictures are available for pick up in the front office

Anybody interested in cheering for the winter season can sign up in the front office. Practice starts October 28th at 3:30 in the cafeteria. Your physical must be up to date in order to practice. There will be a parent meeting to follow at 5:30. This is open to 7th, 8th and 9th graders. No experience is needed. 

There will be no access to the makerspace Monday-Wednesday, this week. Flint knapping club will meet on Thursday for those who can make it.

The results of this year's OPUS Honor Choirs have been posted. Congratulations to all students who auditioned this year. Representing Holmes Junior High this year will be Ljiljana Anderson, Gabrielle Bamford, Gina Brooks, Jack Brooks, Abigail Dvorak, Abigail Forsyth, Varun Gulwadi, Emma Halvorsen, Kaydee Hayes, Wesley Kitzman, Drew Ludemann, Abigail Mauss, Henry Rouw, Lilly Schildroth, Griffin Searfoss, Samuel Smith, Alex Stoner, Ava Torres, and Carson Wirtz.

The 8th grade volleyball team played their best volleyball of the season on Saturday morning in the metro tournament at East High School. An impressive fact....Haley Jacobs had a perfect serving day, 60 out of 60!

The team earned a trip to the championship match against Hoover where the team took second in a very competitive match.  

There are sign up sheets for 7th and 8th grade wrestling in the office and the boys locker room. We will have an informational meeting on Thursday October 17th at 7:45am in the New Gym. Please see Coach Peters for more information.

Any 9th graders who are interested in wrestling this season, Coach Ortner will be here tomorrow (Tuesday) during Tiger Time for an informational meeting. We will meet in the boys PE locker room. If you are still undecided about going out, please come to the meeting, several important topics will be presented.  

Mindful Monday will NOT take place today during Tiger Time. Please listen for an announcement about a possible make-up day later in the week.

Board Game Club will be held today after school in room 15 with Mr. Deeter. No sign-up is required. Come join us!
