Attention students: are you looking for a safe, inclusive, and fun space to meet new people? The GSA club invites you on Thursday next week during Tiger Time in the library. Whether you are LGBTQ+ or an ally, everyone is welcome. Come hangout and do some fun activities and help build a welcoming environment. Look for us on RTI scheduler!
The CFHS Black Student Union is hosting its Ice Cream Social next Wednesday during Tiger Time. BSU exists to uplift and support students of color while bringing people together through fun hangouts, cool fundraisers, awesome field trips, and events that make a real impact on our school. If you are interested, be sure to sign up to attend through RTI scheduler next week!
Next week several representatives will be here from different colleges. If interested in meeting with any of these colleges, please sign up on Schoology. Monday-Bradley University, Tuesday-Creighton University, Wednesday- Drake University, Thursday, Luther College and Friday- University of Dubuque.
Attention Juniors and Seniors: the UNI College Fair is taking place on Tuesday, September 15 from 9-11 am. There will be over 75 colleges, universities and military organizations attending. If you are interested in going, please sign up on Schoology by the end of the day on Friday.
Heads Up Tiger Pals! Our first information meeting will be moved to Sept 16th during Tiger Time in room 1502 during Tiger Time. Tiger Pals is a peer mentoring program for 11th and 12th graders to mentor an elementary age student once a week during their release, Monday morning before school or after school time. It's a great way to make a positive difference in a little's life -- your commitment is required to do so. If you have been a part of Tiger Pals in the past or are curious about this Big/Lil peer mentoring program - come by to learn more! The jv and varsity football teams will host Dubuque Senior tonight with the first game starting at 4:30 pm.
On Saturday, The girls varsity swim team will head to Linn-Mar for a meet that begins at 9 am.
The varsity tennis team will play Iowa City Liberty at 9 am and Iowa City High at 1 pm at the UNI courts tomorrow.
The varsity volleyball team will host the Tiger Tournament tomorrow with matches starting at 9am.
