Good morning, Tigers!
Thank you to all who volunteered their time decorating our hallways on Monday. Staff was asked to vote on their favorites. Third Place goes to Sophomores, Second Place goes to Juniors, First place goes to Seniors.
Attention students: are you looking for a safe, inclusive, and fun space to meet new people? The GSA club invites you on Thursday next week during Tiger Time in the library. Whether you are LGBTQ+ or an ally, everyone is welcome. Come hangout and do some fun activities and help build a welcoming environment. Look for us on RTI scheduler!
Are you interested in competing with the Science Olympiad team? It's not too late to join! Come to room 1732 (blue) after school today or reach out to Mrs. Sliwinski.
Next week several representatives will be here from different colleges. If interested in meeting with any of these colleges, please sign up on Schoology. Monday-Bradley University, Tuesday-Creighton University, Wednesday- Drake University, Thursday, Luther College and Friday- University of Dubuque.
The link to sign up for your Homecoming dance ticket is available on Schoology. Cost is $5.00 and they will be on sale during 4th period. The deadline to purchase tickets is today at 12:30 pm.
Attention Juniors and Seniors: the UNI College Fair is taking place on Tuesday, September 15 from 9-11 am. There will be over 75 colleges, universities and military organizations attending. If you are interested in going, please sign up on Schoology by the end of the day on Friday.
Heads Up Tiger Pals! Our first information meeting will be moved to Sept 16th during Tiger Time in room 1502 during Tiger Time. Tiger Pals is a peer mentoring program for 11th and 12th graders to mentor an elementary age student once a week during their release, Monday morning before school or after school time. It's a great way to make a positive difference in a little's life -- your commitment is required to do so. If you have been a part of Tiger Pals in the past or are curious about this Big/Lil peer mentoring program - come by to learn more! The jv boys golf team will play at Irv Warren Golf Course in Waterloo today at 11:00 am.
The varsity girls tennis team will travel to Cedar Rapids to play CR Kennedy at noon, then CR Washington at 4:00 today.
The jv girls tennis team will host Western Dubuque at the UNI courts today at 4:15 pm.
The girls and boys cross country teams will compete in the Bobcat Invite in Marshalltown starting at 3:45 pm.
The sophomore and jv volleyball teams will head to Waverly to play WSR and AP today at 6:30 pm.
