To conclude Digital Citizenship week, today's message will focus on teens and mental health. It might be tempting to chat with AI when you're stressed, sad, or just need advice — but here's the truth: AI doesn't truly understand emotions. It can mimic empathy, but it can't feel or care. Relying on AI for emotional support can actually make you feel more isolated or misled because: It might give advice that's wrong or unsafe. It can't offer real understanding, validation, or guidance. It may even reinforce negative thinking patterns without meaning to. If you're struggling, talk to a real person — a counselor, teacher, parent, or friend who can truly listen. Human connection matters, and AI can never replace it.
Students who had picture retakes and did not opt to have them mailed home may pick them up from your Tiger Time teacher today.
