The Cultural Diversity Club will be holding its first meeting on Friday, September 19th during Tiger Time in Room 1501. Come join us as we celebrate and learn about cultures from around the world through fun activities, food, and events. Everyone is welcome, and we'd love to see you there. Heya Tigers! Are you interested in game development, app creation, or coding in general? Come to the Computer Science Club's first meeting to learn more about the club and what we do! We will meet after school on Tuesday in the library, both veteran coders and newbies welcome! Are you interested in learning more about black history and culture, or participating in fun activities? The Black Student Union will be meeting Thursday Sept. 18th in the library to kick off the year with an ice cream social and some trunk or treat planning! If you are interested and unable to show up please email Thelma Culpepper. A representative from Iowa Western Community College will be here tomorrow. If you would like to learn more about this college, please sign up on Schoology. Reminders: Do you love to create, explore new materials, or just want a place to hang out and make art? Join Art Club! Brush up on your art skills! All are welcome with no experience needed! We’ll experiment with different art projects, work on collaborative pieces, and have fun making art together. We will be meeting during Tiger Time on Wednesday. The first meeting will take place this Wednesday the 17th in Room 1505 during Tiger Time. Come join us and bring a friend! Contact Ms. Habhab with any questions or if you are interested in Art Club, but can't attend the first meeting. Students who want to be eligible for the homecoming dance-If you have outstanding detentions, you must have zero detentions to purchase a ticket. Please complete the Google Form posted on Schoology if you would like to develop a detention plan. This plan must be completed before meeting with your Associate Principal. The deadline to have all detentions done for homecoming is Thursday, September 18th, at 3:30 pm. This means you have 3 days to get your detentions down to 0. Today’s Tiger Pride Commitment focus is the letter “T.” Thank someone daily. Follow the Tigers: The JV and Varsity Girls Tennis Teams will play at the UNI Tennis Complex today beginning at 4 pm. The Varsity Boys Golf Team will play in the MVC Divisional golf meet at Twin Pines golf course in Cedar Rapids. Play begins this morning at 9:30 am. Tonight at 6:30 the Girls Rugby Team will take on Muscatine and Cedar Rapids here at the CF field. Have a great day and GO TIGERS!
