February is Black History Month. In honor of this month, we will be sharing an inspirational quote each day. Today's quote is from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: "The time is always right to do what is right."
Are you interested in building sets, creating props, or learning about sound and lights? Join tech for CFHS Drama's spring musical, Spongebob. Contact Ms. Rathe or Ms. Magill with any questions, or join us in the auditorium after school. All students welcome.
Beginning this week, school counselors will start their four year course planning meeting with all juniors and sophomores. During this time your course requests will be verified for next school year. You will receive a pass to see your counselor. Please attend during your assigned time or send Mrs. Betsy Haht or your counselor an email if you can't make it. Appointments will be every 15 minutes so arriving promptly is requested.
Attention seniors: Commencement is only a few months away, and the process is underway to determine the senior class speaker. Step 1 of this process is to nominate either yourself or a peer for that honor. Nomination forms can be found on your Senior class Schoology page and must be submitted to Ms. Anderson by the end of the day Friday, February 7.
Do you need help with college plans or post-secondary steps? A Hawkeye Community College admissions representative will be here Tuesday morning to support you! This representative can meet with any junior or senior if signed up. Please sign up on your Schoology.
Girls who are interested in going out for golf: There will be a mandatory preseason meeting during Tiger Time on Friday, February 14th on the Learning Stairs. If you cannot attend, please communicate with Coach Youngkent BEFORE February 14th.
There will be a BSU meeting today in the library during Tiger Time to discuss this month's activities.
For anyone interested in playing Men's Tennis during the 2025 season, there will be a meeting after school at 3:00 PM in the Jungle Room on Thursday, February 6. Please be at the meeting so that Coaches Suiter & Adams can give you information concerning the tennis schedule, practice schedule, ordering t-shirts & gear, and answering any questions you may have about the program.
Follow the Tigers: The Choir Pops Concert will begin at 7:00 pm at CFHS.
