Are you interested in mentoring and having a long lasting positive impact on a younger student from our district, and being a leader? Then Tiger Pals might be for you! Come join us for our Tiger Pals informational meeting during Tiger Time Wednesday in room 1502 (FCS room). If you are unable to make it, but are interested in participating, please reach out to Mrs. Llerena or Mrs. Droste.
Are you passionate about butterflies and making a difference? The Monarch Club is looking for enthusiastic members to help us raise Monarch butterfly populations through exciting and meaningful projects! This year, we'll be engaging in a variety of fun projects including planting a milkweed nursery to provide essential habitats for Monarchs and working on fun educational activities to spread the word across our school district. Whether you enjoy gardening or informing, there's a place for you in the Monarch Club! Come to our first meeting on September 26th in Mr. Lang's room (Gray - 731) to learn more and sign up. Together, we can make a big impact!
A reminder, a representative will be here today from Iowa Western Community College. There will also be a representative from Cornell College here on Wednesday, September 18th; and Kirkwood Community College will be here on Friday, September 20th. If you have any interest in meeting with representatives from these colleges, please sign up on Schoology.
Today is National Voter Registration Day! If you will be 18 years of age on or before November 5th, you are eligible to vote in the upcoming election. Stop by the library any time today to check voter registration or get help registering to vote! To register, you will need your Driver's License Number AND your Social Security Number and it takes less than five minutes to do! Your vote matters!
Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be meeting during Tiger Time today, and every Tuesday in the gym. You do not need to be out for a sport to be involved. Come have a snack, and spend time with your peers and bring a friend!
Seniors: a reminder to fill out your Senior Survey if you have not yet done so. This information is important and includes the name that will be on your diploma and how you will order your Cap and Gown for Graduation Ceremony.
Follow the Tigers: JV Boys' Golf meet will begin at 3:15 pm at Timberline Golf Course in Peosta; Sophomore and JV Volleyball will begin at 5:30 pm, followed by the Varsity at 7:00 pm at CFHS; JV and Varsity Girls' Swimming will begin at 6:00 pm at Dubuque Hempstead.
