Cedar Falls Public Safety will offer a community course in American Heart Association-supported Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED (2-year certification, 4 hours) on June 2, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Public Safety Center in Cedar Falls(4600 South Main Street). The price for the course is $50/person. To learn more and register, visit bit.ly/HeartCFPS. The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. The Heartsaver course covers: First aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, environmental emergencies, preventing illness and injuries, adult CPR and AED use, Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies and optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR. The course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training including individuals who require a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. It is also helpful to anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting including coaches, babysitters, lifeguards, or teachers. Another reminder that if you are missing any clothing items or shoes from prom, there is a box of found items here in the main office. Come take a look! The regular Lost and Found cupboard in the main office is also full of items. If you have misplaced a water bottle, clothing items, jewelry etc. please come take a look.
Follow the Tigers: Varsity Girls' Golf Regional meet will begin at 10:00 am at Gardner Golf Course in Marion; Varsity Boys' Tennis will begin at 3:30 pm at Dowling High School in Des Moines; Varsity Boys' Baseball game will begin at 3:30 pm at Columbus High School; JV 2 Girls' Soccer will begin at 4:15 pm, followed by the JV 2 Boys' at 5:45 pm at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex.
