Student Life Cedar Falls High School

Announcements: Wednesday, April 24, 2024 B Day

In honor of Earth Week, today's Environmental tip focuses on the letter “R” for reduce, reuse, and recycle. First, reduce the amount of things you are buying in order to decrease resource usage and lessen the amount of waste that ends up in landfills. Second, reuse items for as long as possible! This includes buying items that can be used over and over rather than single use products. A reusable water bottle is a start, slow fashion is a possible step and always make sure you maintain your durable goods to last as long as possible. Lastly, recycle! Recycling reduces strain on landfills and makes sure that these products have an appropriate end to their life cycle rather than ending up in natural areas around our planet.

Plan ahead, bring your lunch, and come learn about the sustainable building design features at the new high school tomorrow, Thursday, April 25 during the first shift of Power Hour in the auditorium. Brian Sanderman of Invision Architecture will lead the discussion.
