Students: Homecoming week is coming up! It begins on Sunday, September 10 with the Junior / Senior Powder Puff football game and ends with the dance on Saturday, September 16 at Orchard Hill Church. The dance is open to 10th - 12th graders, as well as guests who are 20 years and younger at the time of the dance. If you plan to bring a guest to the dance who is not a student at CFHS, you must fill out a guest form! These are available to pick up from Mrs. Skarlis in the main office. It is due back in the office no later than Wednesday, September 13 by 3:30 pm!
All Math Club members please check your email or the Math Club Schoology page. There is a doodle form to be filled out to determine when Math Club weekly meetings will be. Feel free to find Ms. Steinlage if you have any questions.
Follow the Tigers: Sophomore Football game will begin at 5:30 pm, followed by the Varsity at 7:30 pm at Cedar Rapids Prairie. Tickets may be purchased on Bound, or purchase with $10 cash at the door. SATURDAY: Boys' and Girls' Sophomore, JV and Varsity Cross Country Invitationals will begin at 8:00 am at Cedar Rapids Prairie; Varsity Volleyball will begin at 9:00 am at Ankeny Centennial.
Our Tiger Pride commitment for today is focusing on the letter "R" - Respect the building by cleaning up a mess when you see it, whether it is yours or not.
REMINDERS: Students: Just a reminder to you about parking - you are not allowed to park in the staff parking lots, which are located on the north side of the building next to the track and football field, and the southwest side of the building. Those lots require a parking permit to park there, and may result in you being penalized with a school issued parking ticket.
Students needing schedule corrections: Please check your schedule in PowerSchool for the most updated information! Eligible corrections can be made through Friday, August 25th. You can see your counselor either before or after the scheduled school day OR during scheduled Study Hall/release. Release requests will be approved and indicated on schedules as received from parent permission form. See Correction Guidelines for further information. Corrections will only be made if they meet the guidelines. Course section must be open to make the correction.
